Digital Citizenship for Teenagers
Introduction
Hi, I’m Alex. I was born and brought up in Australia but my background is Italian and Spanish. I am 14 years old turning 15 this year. I enjoy socializing with people whether it’s in person or over the internet. Sports I like to take part in are soccer, whether it’s indoor or outdoor, basketball, cricket and many others. I enjoy meeting new people and hope to make new friends with people from around the world.
I attend The Illawarra Grammar School, TIGS for short, and I’m in Year 9. Our school is celebrating its 50 year history this year. I’ve been at the school since Year 7 and have made many friends and enjoy it greatly. The quality of education and excellent facilities’ makes the school one of the best in the area. Our school currently supports over a thousand students through from Preschool to Year 12.
The area in which I live is Wollongong or the Illawarra. The Illawarra or Wollongong has been known for its production of steel and steel framing at the Port Kembla Steel Works. Other features of Wollongong that make it so unique is the spectacular views of the ocean from the lookouts up in the mountains that tower over the area. Wollongong would be an ideal place as a holiday for people who enjoy that sort of stuff, but not me.
Our class has been recently introduced to the Digiteen Project and now that you know about me, I hope we can work together co-cooperatively to the best of our abilities.
