My opinion on the video was that, parents should have a knowledge on what their children are doing on the internet. The teens seem so unaware of the dangers of these sites that they think its a secondary lifestyle, which is totally unacceptable. The Texting situation is Ordinary. I don't see the problem with texting, unless the text messaging goes too far. On the other hand, parents should be happy their children are busy into the phone instead of constantly into trouble. Sites like Myspace, Facebook, and etc, are cool but should have a certain limit to the amount of information they display. On the video, I think they were taking the development of new technology too seriously. Kids are only interested in the computer when they don't have better things to do, or when they aren't around their friends. For example, At home you are no longer with your friends, so what can you do that will keep you interested? The simple ways that you can connect with them is the on cell phone and on the computer, so why not use them. You're right , back in the days you didn't have cell phones or these techincal problems, but you mostly lived around your friends at a close walking distance. So in my opinion on the video, It made certain points but, they were overpowering about the idea of new techonolgy and kids.
