An open letter to the students of Qatar Academy

The other day I opened my email and was pleasantly surprised to have received a number of greetings from students at Qatar academy. With the exception of one message I was very impressed with the respectful tone of all of your greetings and I want you to know that I read them all. Unfortunately I don't teach a class this term that can participate in this project, but I will check in on the Ning when I can and look forward to being a part of your conversations regarding Digital Citizenship and ways to raise awareness of this topic at your school.

We are delighted you are maintaining contact with our Digiteen project during this second trimester. I am hoping the student who posted an inappropriate comment to this Ning will realise in time to apologise and edit before we need to take teacher action. This is what being online and learning as a community is all about.....knowing HOW to interact, communicate and behave.
