Hey, I’m Phoebe.
I am a student at The Illawarra grammar school in Wollongong, which is located on the south-east coast of Australia about 1.5 hours south of Sydney. I have attended TIGS since kindergarten in 2000, since then the school has gone under some major upgrades and now is a very unique environment. School here is great because there is a range of sports to participate in my favorite being soccer, some great teachers that are willing to help when ever necessary and the school also has some great facilities including a large air conditioned library, sporting field and the illawarra grammar centre.
My house is on 4 acres about 25 minutes away from the school (some people live over an hour away). I live with My two younger Brothers and Parents we also have 3 alpacas, 2 llamas, 1 dog and 6 puppies. It’s very quite where I live as it is a private estate. Wollongong is a great area because there is a large selection of beaches, movie theaters and sporting teams although the shopping around here doesn’t cater for everyone including not stocking designer clothes apart for the few that David Jones carries.
On the weekends I usually go shopping, hang with friends, and go to the movies or the beach and every Sunday morning I play soccer for my local club then sometimes go motocross riding.
My favorite hobby is playing soccer, which is a rapid growing Female sport in Australia; therefore it is becoming more and more competitive every year. I play right wing or center mid, which I love because they are two very active positions. So far I have achieved playing for the state in futsal, playing rep for the Illawarra, the Illawarra development squad and recently I have made it into an open team for new Anglican schools which has players up to 19 years old. I train twice a week with my local club, but I would like to join a training squad to perfect my techniques.
My second favorite hobby is shopping. I love going shopping in Sydney CBD and Bondi Junction because there is an enormous selection of shops there including Ed Hardy, guess and French connection. I invest most of my money into designer brand clothes such as Ed Hardy as I love there unique designs, I also love Gwen Stefani’s brand Harajuku lovers because I love the image of the Harajuku dress code. In my spare time I’m usually flicking through the pages of my “shop till you drop” magazine searching for the latest designer styles.
