Cyber Security is becoming a major issue on the internet. There are good people like me and you who are getting their credit card and checking accounts hacked by online thieves. One example is a man in Hampshire, England who had his credit card number stolen online. Not only was it just stolen, it was used to but child pornography. The man’s credit card incident led to the crackdown of Operation Ore, a huge child pornography market in England that was sending child porn to the United States. This story not only teaches you not to leave your credit card number vulnerable to hackers, but also to keep your children away from these types of people.
There are many tips for prevent these incidents from happening. One way is to understand your general security. An example is using a good password and keeping it protecting it. If hackers do not know your password, they cannot obtain any of your personal information. You should also use anti-virus software. Anti-virus software does not completely stop viruses from coming in your computer, but it gives you warnings so you can prevent the viruses getting in.
The way many hackers get into your computer is through a virus. It is good to know about is the different kinds of viruses can get into your computer. The one of the most used virus is a worm. A worm virus uses a network to copy itself into other computers. The only way to prevent a worm is to update your windows so that the worm has no holes to get through.
Another common type of virus is a Trojan horse virus. This virus uses an incentive to get into your computer. One day you might get a pop up saying that you just won a thousand dollars. If you click on these types of pop ups, you just let a virus into your computer. Keep a watchful eye out for a Trojan horse virus.
Now that you have read this you should be prepared for any hacker that tries to get into your computer.
