Yes absoloutely, 'cultural literacy' is a very good name for it. You can have books on what buttons to press, but you can only learn from the knowledge of someone else about how to behave etc.

Hi, Christian, thx for commenting. I think things like using a spreadsheet should be taught when they are needed. Hopefully, belonging to this community is helping you develop your digital literacy in ways that complement what your school is doing.

I believe digital literacy should be taught more seriously in school. At my school right now we are limited to a nine week course on how to type and use spread-sheets. While I'm grateful for this, I do think we need to go into more detail and see ...
