Though most of you don't know, yesterday was Canada's federal election. I'm just curious, what's the political system in the country that you live in. For Canada, we're a constitutional monarchy. The queen really doesn't have much power though. Not sure what it is for Australia and I'm confused on how the US system works. Care to explain?

The electoral college is a group of people who are picked to vote for the president based on the outcome of the votes for their states. For example the citizens in Pennsylvania all vote for who they want to be president than the electoral college member finds out the total and which candidate has the highest number of votes. They take that person's name and vote for them. Each state does this and the candidate with the most states win. Sometimes the electoral college member doesn't vote for the correct person and if someone finds out that electoral college member has serious consequences.

They don't always vote for who they were supposed to. George W. Bush lost the popular vote in his first election. But he somehow became president.
