At my school in Georgia we had to watch a video about kids on the internet before they let us start digiteen. The only problem is they said we couldn't watch some segments of it because of inapproriate content. That got me thinking about what they will and will not show teens in other parts of the world. Did anybody get to see the whole video?
I've also noticed that they edit out alot of the content in shows that came to the U.S.A from other countries. Theres alot of words they wont let us say on the air, that I hear they'll allow in other parts of the world. Can anyone tell me what the content laws are like where your from?
And finally, I hear certain albums, books, movies, etc, can and have been banned from some countries. In the U.S you can't legally ban a book or movies altogether (although theaters can refuse to show it and shops can refuse to sell it). Can the goverment in the countries where some of you are from legally step in and ban a movie because of content? I want to know because it'd be weird if they let you see the video, or say certain words on TV that you can't say here, but then just ban some things. I'm sorry if my assupmtions are wrong, if they are please post it and if there right please elaborate. If I'm somewhere in between, tell me that too.
P.S I choose freedom and Information for my topic so I figure this relates to it fairly well
