In the U.S. teenagers can start driving when we turn 15. But we can only drive with a parent or guardian in the front seat with you. We have to take a test to see if we know enough to drive, and if you do we get a learners license. Then after a year when we turn sixteen we can get our own car and drive on our own.
So are teenagers allowed to drive in your country?

We r allowed 2 start driving when we r 16, but you have 2 have a licenced driver in the passenger's seat. You have a sign in ur car that says 'L' for learner. When u r 18 u can get ur 'p' sign that is for probation area. When u r 21 u can get ur licence. Does ur country hav this system.
I am only 14 but becoz I live on a farm I am allowed to drive a vehicle around our land. I can drive by myself, but not on the roads and only on our property.
Maddi- interesting discussion
we aren't allowed 2 drive at 15! so you guys are really lucky, the minimum age is 18. eventhoughi'd like to drive when i turn 15, I think that no one really needs to drive at 15 coz you only really need to go to school or to the mall. what do you think?
Hey shahed,
You missed the fact that they had extended the minimum age,
and it's now 20,
but you can get your learners permit at 18,
you also have to have an "L" on your car, to alert people.
Everyone drives up north though (in al shamal)
I drive too =D
Its fun, but mostly we drive in the desert,
Interesting discussion, its one of the most overlooked things when people ask about a country, even though its EXTREMELY important!
I used to wonder this myself when I was a teenager. I used to believe that you should have a licence when you were 16y and allowed to be on your own. Im only 24 now and in that time have learnt that along with smoking, alcohol, drugs, partying and other issues that go along with all of this: teenagers are trying to grow up too fast. When I was 15 i grabbed my bike or horse or strapped on those legs which come with your body when you're born and walked down the street or to my friends house. Why not enjoy it before having a busy life and you have to jump in a car and drive 30 minutes or so to go to work each day. Just remember if you desperately need to get around there are other ways.
:)

Well here in the United States, we can get jobs at 14, so if we do have one, we must have a ride or have a way to get there. This is probably why they haven't bumped up the driving age to 21 yet. What do ya think?
Interesting discussion Mason!
Like what Maddi said we get our 'L's when 16 and 'P's when 18.
I am also 14 and drive a ute around our property. Like Miss H said if I need to go somewhere I just ride my bike or walk!
Stacey : )
In pakistan we are allowed legally after 18 but i think almost everyone has taken his or her parents ride for a spin before 18=P. and mostly our country boys just drive illegally for racing and stuff:).
we just have to pass a test and then we get our licenseand thats all. no l's and p's=P
